The Cogswell Cover is a patent-pending safety shield designed to protect your port engine from catastrophic water ingestion in twin-engine installations. When raw water cooling hoses fail—whether at the sea strainer, fuel cooler, charge air cooler, or heat exchanger—the intake air box sits dangerously close to these critical lines. A hose failure or clamp failure can send seawater directly into your port engine's intake, causing complete engine failure and requiring a full rebuild.
The Cogswell Cover intercepts that water, directing it safely into the shield and down onto the starter and oil filter housing instead of into your engine.
